When looking for long–term renting there are some points you need to consider first:
RENTAL BUDGET
You will need to calculate the amount that you can afford paying monthly for rent, according to your monthly income.
TYPE & LOCATION OF THE PROPERTY
Depending on your personal situation and lifestyle, you have to consider what type and size of property it is best for you. Also where it is located, if it’s near schools, amenities, close to your jobs etc.

CONTRACT
When you will finally decide which property is best for you, the next step is signing a contract. Apartments and houses are rented on for contracted period, usually one or two years. This can then be renewed. Each contract may differ according to owner’s and properties specifications.
PAY DEPOSIT
Landlords usually require the tenant to pay the equivalent of one month's rent as a deposit and one month's rent in advance. The deposit is refunded when the contract expires, except when the owner withholds part or all of it to cover any damage or in cases where the tenant breaches his contract. Standard terms are that the monthly rent payable is to prepay each upcoming month.
