Price of construction materials increases

The Price Index of Construction Materials for November 2017 reached 102,03 units (base year 2010=100,00), recording an increase of 0,52% compared to October 2017, according to data released Monday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus. For the period January - November 2017, the index recorded an increase of 0,52% compared to the same period of 2016.
Residential property prices increase

Residential property prices recorded their first annual increase in seven years, according to data released on Friday by the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC). In particular, residential property prices recorded a slight increase of 0.2% in the first quarter of 2017.
Building permits increase by 45%

The Statistical Service of Cyprus said on Friday that during the period January – September 2017, 4.281 building permits were issued compared to 3.901 in the corresponding period of the previous year.
House plenary approved 2018 state budget

The House plenary approved on Wednesday, by majority, the state budget for 2018.
Thirty MPs from ruling Democratic Rally DISY, the Democratic Party and the Solidarity Movement voted in favour and 26 from left-wing AKEL, the Social Democrats Movement EDEK, the Citizens` Alliance, the Movement of Ecologists - Citizens` Cooperation (the Greens), the National Popular Front and independent MP Pavlos Mylonas voted against.
Economy grew by 3.9% in Q3

The economy of Cyprus grew by 3.9% in the third quarter of 2017, the Statistical Service of Cyprus reported on Friday. “Τhe GDP growth rate in real terms during the third quarter of 2017 is positive and estimated at 3.8% over the corresponding quarter of 2016” Cystat said.
